How do I add a personal number plate for sale?
 
If you've got a personal number plate for sale, you can sell it here on www.theplatemarket.com ..... commission free.
 
This is all you need to do:
 
  1. Register with us to set up an account. Or log in if you've already registered. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
  2. Add your personal number plate for sale, and the asking price. Click the 'add' button. You can add more number plates as you wish.
  3. When you've finished adding number plates, click 'next'.
  4. Add number plate highlights, and features as required.
  5. Select your contact option.
  6. Review and confirm the changes.
    Your new personal number plates will be listed for sale as soon as you save your changes, and payment is complete.

How do I add more personal number plates for sale on my account?
 
You can add as many personal number plates for sale as you wish, from just one,to 100+! You can also add or remove number plates for sale at any time.
 
  1. Log in to your account on. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
  2. Add your personal number plate for sale, and the selling price.
  3. Click the 'add' button. You'll see new personal number plates added on the screen.
  4. When you've finished adding number plates, click 'next'.
  5. Add number plate options, highlights, and features as required.
  6. Review and confirm the changes, and pay any uplift fee.
    Note: When you add more cherished number plates for sale, your selling fees will be re-calculated. If you have moved up into the next price band, you will be charged an 'uplift' fee.
  7. Your new personal number plates will be listed for sale as soon as you save your changes, and payment (if applicable) is complete.

How do I change the price of my personal number plate?
 
You can change the price of your personal number plates for sale any time you choose.
  1. Log in to your account on. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
  2. Select the 'current plates' tab.
  3. Click 'Price' next to the personal number plate you wish to change.
  4. Change the price, add any highlights or spotlights and click 'next'.
  5. If you need to change the price for more than one personal number plate for sale, go back to the 'current plates' tab and click 'Price' again.
  6. When you have finished changing prices, make sure you go through the options pages (select 'next') to the 'Review and Confirm' page. your changes will take effect when you click the 'save changes' button.
    Note: Your selling fees will be re-calculated after you have made changes. If the price changes you make move your account up into the next price band, you will be charged an 'uplift' fee.

How do I change number plate details?
 
When you add a number plate for sale, we set some options to default settings. For instance, we assume you are a private seller so vat would not be applicable. You can change these number plate details at any time.
 
  1. Log in to your account. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
  2. Select the 'current plates' tab.
  3. For the number plate you wish to change, click on 'Update'.
  4. Make changes as required.
  5. Click the 'update plate' button

How do I add / change number plate word tags and themes?
 
You can add word tags and themes to your personal number plates. This helps potential buyers find your number plate more easily.
 
  1. Log in to your account. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
  2. Select the 'current plates' tab.
  3. Click on 'Update'.
  4. Add word tags in the boxes provided.
  5. Add themes using the drop-down menus.
  6. Click the 'update plate' button

How do I remove a personal number plate for sale?
 
You can remove indivdual number plates for sale at any time.
 
  1. Log in to your account. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
  2. Select the 'current plates' tab.
  3. Click 'Delete' next to the personal number plate you wish to remove.
  4. Confirm that you wish to delete that personal number plate for sale from your account.
  5. If you need to delete more than one personal number plate for sale, go back to the 'current plates' tab and click 'Delete' again.
  6. Your deleted number plates for sale will be removed immediately from your account.

How do I change my personal details on my account?
 
  1. Log in to your account. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
  2. Select the 'your details' tab.
  3. Make changes, and click the 'save changes' button.

    How do I change my contact options?
     
    You can change your contact options at any time. Unless you selected a different option, your contact telephone number is displayed with your personal number plates for sale. You can change this at any time, to hide your contact telephone number.
     
    If you choose to hide your contact telephone number, anyone interested in your personal number plate for sale can still contact you using the form on the screen. This will send an email directly to you, without revealing your email address.
     
    1. Log in to your account. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
    2. Select the 'intro' tab.
    3. Select 'change your contact options'.
    4. Make changes, and click 'next'.
    5. Review and confirm.
      Note: Additional fees may be applicable.

    How do I stop my personal number plate account?
     
    You can remove indivdual number plates for sale at any time. Alternatively, you can suspend your account. This will stop all your number plates from being advertised, from the end of the current advertising period.
     
    1. Log in to your account. You will be taken to the number plate 'Quick Add' page.
    2. Select the 'summary' tab.
    3. Follow instructions 'If you would like to suspend your account - Click Here'.
