Once you've accepted an offer for your number plate, you will need to complete some DVLA number plate transfer forms. Which forms will depend on whether....

.... whether the registration number is currently on a vehicle or retention certificate, and

.... whether the registration is to be transferred directly to another vehicle.

Number plate transfer fees will be payable to the DVLA (fulld details are provided on the appropriate forms).

You will also need to agree witht he buyer, at what stage payment is due.
